There's an awful lot of misconception and lack of knowledge among hobbyists about the nuts and bolts of running steam operations. These pages are intended to be an education resource for those who are interested in understanding the "real world" of steam operation and preservation today. (But it won't be all serious reading - noone lasts long in the steam locomotive fraternity without a sense of humor, and you'll see some real doozies displayed here.)
